First, Fox made the devastating announcement that they were cancelling the show, and that it wouldn't be returning for a sixth season. But then only a day later, NBC said they were bringing it back to life.

Yep: although Season 6 may not be entirely Gina Linetti-free, there will be significantly less Gina than we would like.

So, to summarise: we're going to have much less Gina in Season 6, but that doesn't mean she's gone for good.

Brooklyn 99Season 6 doesn't yet have a release date, but the show is expected to start during the 2018-19 season.
